Mission Leader Seminar Continued

We got to go to Guatemala Thursday and Friday for training. All of the new mission presidents and their wives in the Central America area that were newly called this summer, came for the training. Plus all of the service mission advisors for the 19 Central American missions came too. It was a great seminar. We learned so much from Elder Nash, Elder Giuffra, Elder Olsen, and Elder Casillas. It was an incredibly quick trip though. We were only gone for less than 48 hours. We left Thursday morning at 8am and were back to Honduras Saturday morning at 6:30am. We had to get up at 3am Saturday morning.

The gardens at our hotel.  Guatemala was so beautiful.  And it was so much cooler than Honduras.  It didn't want to go back.

Elder Paderes, one of our AP's, heard that we were coming to Guatemala.  He asked where we were staying and I told him by the Guatemala City temple.  He said his parents live near there and he asked if I wanted to meet them.  I of course wanted to meet them, so they came to the hotel and I met them.  They are such nice people. I was so good to meet them.  They send me with some snacks for Elder Paderes.  He was so excited to get them.

Brother and Sister McLaughlin.  They are our mission doctors.  They live in Guatemala.  I am so grateful for them.  They have been so helpful in knowing how to help the medical concerns of the missionaries. It was nice to meet them in person.

We had dinner at the Giratoria Restaurant in Guatemala.  We ate on the 18th floor and the floor rotted around so as we were eating we could get a 360 degree view of the whole city. It was really cool.
