Stake Conference in Satelite

We went to stake conference in Satelite today. They told us we didn't have to speak, but when we got there, they asked us to bear our testimonies. I was having a really rough day and just did not want to do it so I told Kirt to tell them I didn't want to do it. Then I felt stupid for saying I wouldn't do it, so I felt even worse. I just started crying on the stand and couldn't stop crying. So I walked off the stand and just went and balled in the bathroom. Then my face was all red and puffy and I didn't want to go sit back on the stand, so I just went and sat in the very back of the congregation. One of our sweet missionaries, Elder Tatlow noticed me sitting in the back and came and sat by me and cheered me up.

Elder Rodas Arrives

Elder Rodas is from Honduras. He is supposed to go to the Johannesburg South Africa mission, but was unable to get his Visa. He will be in our mission until he is able to get his Visa.

New Car

We got a new mission car today. It is a Mitsubishi Montero.  We are very grateful for it. The office car has been in the shop forever so we have been letting the office elders drive our car and we have been using a rental car.

Elder Ortiz and Hermana Cordon

Our first post mission romance. Ortiz and Ximena met on the mission and have decided now that they are home they are going to date. We are so excited for them and hope they get married. I am claiming their children as my own grandkids if they do get married. Ximena flew to Utah to visit Ortiz. They are in love!

 

Kirt's Trip to Utila

After finishing interviews Thursday in La Ceiba, Kirt took the ferry to Utila. He stayed with the Richardson family on Utila. They live a ways away from the ferry. He had to take a water taxi and then a side by side to get to their house. It was quite an adventure. Friday he went out with Elder Kelly and Elder Jimenez.  Saturday he worked while sitting on the beach. Sunday he went to church in the group on Utila. Monday he took the ferry to Roatan with Elder Kelly and Elder Jimenez.  He had breakfast with them and the missionaries on Roatan and then he flew back to San Pedro in the early afternoon just in time to do more interviews.
