MLC

We went to the temple today with the MLC and then had our council at the mission home. We had a good discussion about how we can increase our ability to find new people. 

I made hawaiian haystacks.  They were all so excited to eat them!

MLC P-Day

For MLC p-day they played paintball.  I didn't play, but Kirt did. I played last time and it hurt too much. I guess I'm a chicken

It was so fun to visit with her even if it was in my broken Spanish and her broken English and a lot of Spanglish.)

After paintball, the Hermana leaders and I went to lunch at Chilis. We always take the AP's and the office elders to lunch for all their help with transfers, but we have never taken the hermana leaders so I wanted to thank them because they do a ton of stuff to help with transfers.  It was so fun! We laughed so much.

Emilio Paredes Comes to Visit

Emilio came to go to the temple with one of the people that he baptized. She received her endowment.  He invited us to come with them.  It was so fun to see him! I went to pick him up at the bus station. We went and picked up Pres and went to the temple. We went to dinner at the BBQ chicken place we love.  Then we played padel and went swimming. We stayed up late visiting.  In the morning, we went to church with him in La Paz.  Then some members took him to Planeta to visit and then to the bus to go home.  The visit was way to short, but we were so glad that we got to see him!!

 

Happy Birthday Elder Tatlow

Elder Tatlow is one of my favorite missionaries. He is always so kind and goes out of his way to talk to me. I was sitting alone at a zone conference one time, and he was the only one that came and sat by me so I made him a cute birthday wish too.

Elder Zaldivar and I tease each other a lot. We may have a bit of a love/hate relationship. It was his birthday today so I had ChatGPT make him this for his birthday.

Planeta Came for P-day

Zona Planeta came for p-day.  I forgot to take a group picture. The Elders went down and played soccer and tennis while the Hermanas enjoyed the a/c and talked to their families and napped.  After lunch we had a big game of Spoons and I won.  Then I played Hitster with some of the Elders. 

Elder Tatlow and Elder Wolff had to come to San Pedro from Saba and Sonaguera for Migration. They talked me in to letting them come to the house for p-day with Planeta and then into staying the night at the house because migration is right by the mission home.  It was fun to have them.  We had burgers for dinner and visited and laughed a lot. 

 

Trip to Olanchito

We left Friday to drive to Olanchito for Stake Conference and to visit with the missionaries out there.  We drove the southern route again through Yoro. 

We saw the Elders in Santa Rita teaching a lesson. We weren't planning on stopping and seeing them, but we just happened to see them teaching a lesson at house along the way so we stopped to say hello.

We also stopped to say hello to the Elders in El Negrito.  We had something we needed to give to Elder Videa.

We got to Olanchito and checked into our hotel. Later that evening we both went out with missionaries in Coyoles. I went out with Elder McDowell and Elder Villasenor and President went out with Elder Garcia Vega and Elder Castillo.

Saturday afternoon we went up to the river.  It was so low.  It is probably a good swimming hole when there is water in it. 

The wind came up super fast as we were driving back from the river and it blew down this telephone pole as we were driving by.

We spoke in Stake Conference on Sunday.  I still am boycotting Saturday sessions of Stake Conference, but Kirt went and spoke at both of them.
