Today we were fed from a firehouse. It was amazing, but it was so much information. In the morning we heard from Elder Holland, Elder Cook, Sister Wright a counselor in the General Primary Presidency, and Elder Renlund. In the afternoon we had breakout sessions and our session was with Elder Carl Cook of the Seventy and Elder Peter Johnson of the Seventy and their wives and Brother Weidman who is the managing director of the missionary department. They taught us how to taught missionaries about the missionary purpose and how to extend the baptismal invitation. We practiced with the other mission leaders then they set us loose with a district of missionaries in the MTC and we had to teach them these principles.
President and Sister Lee. They will be serving in the Salt Lake City mission. They used to live in Spokane and Brother Lee was Tanner's (our oldest son) seminary teacher his senior year.
President and Sister Wallis. They will be serving in the Mexico City West mission. They are good friends with Kirt's sister Kari and her husband Dave.
Morning Session-President Oaks was there and all of the members of the quorum of the 12 apostles.
Break out session. Our session was being filmed for mission leaders next year to watch and learn from. No pressue.
The district that we taught. All of them were Spanish speaking. They were going to Barcelona, Madrid South, and Texas. They have been in the MTC for 5 weeks and are going to their missions on Tuesday. They were kind to us. I think they know more than we do.
