Our friends were on a cruise and it stopped in Roatan. Kirt was already in Roatan visiting the missionaries and working with the branches (Elder Ortiz had gone over with him. He flew back Monday and Kirt stayed.) I flew over for the day on Tuesday just to see our friends. We went to a Daniel Johnson's monkey and sloth hang out and went to lunch. It was so good to see people from Spokane. We miss all our wonderful friends from Spokane. (And actually the Palmers and Hatchs don't even live in Spokane anymore. They have both moved away, but we all were in the same ward once upon a time.)

You can also see the Roatan church from the view point looking out the other way from the cruise port

Sloth-they are just out under this covered shelter. They move so slowly that they don't even put them in cages. There is a sloth babysitter that makes sure that they don't wonder out in the trees too fasr away from the covered shelter.
Scarlett Macaws
White faced monkeys-we went in their cage and stood in a circle. The guides walked around the inside of the circle with their arms outstretched over our heads with food in their hands. Sometimes they would drop the food on our heads. The monkeys would run around the circle on top of our heads eating the food off our heads. I really didn't like it as you can see from my expression.

We flew home on a really small plane
