Brother Shane Littlefield is our Area Specialist. He came to our mission to help us identify ways that we can improve our mission. (Side not, Brother Littlefield was also our pre-mission mentor too! He did all of our training before we came to the mission.) It was great to have him come. He flew in Sunday and we picked him up from the airport and took him to his hotel. He came and had dinner with us and the Hiatt's on Sunday night. Monday morning we picked him up and we went to the office. We talked to him from 9-12. We talked about all aspects of the mission, goals, planning, contacting, finding, culture, training, etc. He asked lots of questions and took notes. Then we went to lunch at Tokkens Pizza with Shane and our AP's. Then Shane met with the AP's from 1:30-3:30. Then he met with 2 companionships of ZL's (Elders Zaldivar and Perez Madrid, Elders Shanklin and Choc), and 1 companionship of HL's (Hermanas Castillo and Popoca) from 3:30-5:30. Then we took him back to his hotel and he reviewed his notes and wrote recommendations. Tuesday he came to our house and he reviewed his recommendations with us. He said that if we worked on improving these 5 areas, that it would most help our mission. We had lunch at Dish and then he went back to his hotel. We went home and prepared for the MLC meeting that we are having tomorrow. Wednesday we had our expanded MLC meeting with all of the ZL's, HL's and included all of the DL's also. We went over the recommendations of Brother Littlefield. It went well. Then we had lunch and then we had a debriefing with Brother Littlefield. We took him to the airport. He is going to visit a few more missions before heading home. One of the missions that he is visiting is Garret's mission. I sent him with a note for Garret and a piece of a spike ball net that Garret had left in the MTC. Garret was so said that he left it because he hasn't been able to play spike ball. I sent the piece from our net that he is missing. Jessy is coming in March. I will have her bring a replacement for our net when she comes. Garret will be so excited to get it so that he can play spike ball.
