Thursday morning we drove to Copan today. This is the beautiful hotel that we stayed in in Copan. It was called Hotel Marina. The grounds were incredible!
Pretty street in the center of Copan
Church in Copan
That evening we went to this restaurant in Copan that was supposed to have a beautiful view of the sunset. It would have, but it was super cloudy. The restaurant was called Hacienda San Lucas. Elder Jorgensen's dad told us about the restaurant.
After dinner, we walked in the central square of Copan and we ran into 4 missionaries that are serving in the SPS West Mission. They were in the square contacting people.
Katie and I went on a morning walk Friday morning.
Then we went to the ruins of Copan.
The ruins have a scarlett macaw sanctuary. There were so many beautiful scarlett macaws on the grounds.
The ruins were not super big, but they were well preserved.
We took turns posing like the ruins
We could walk in some tunnels under the big pyramid.
We found a turtle on our hike to the river.
Drinking mojitos by the pool at the hotel after going to the ruins.
At a pupusa restaurant for lunch. They were super yummy.
After lunch, we went to the Jaguar Hot Springs. The gardens were amazing and so beautiful.
There was a natural sauna inside this rock. It had a light that changed colors.
Mud masks!
Saturday morning, we got up and drove back to San Pedro. After we got back, we went and played Paddle.
