Pico Bonito Hike

We told the 3 zones on the La Ceiba side that if the mission got 350 people to attend church on one Sunday, that they would get to do the Pico Bonito Hike (the other 7 zones get to play soccer in a Olympic Stadium).  We decided that we needed to try the hike first to make sure we knew where it was and that it was a hike that most people could do.  It was such a cool hike.  It was about 3 Km to one waterfall.  Then there is another waterfall that is only about 100 yards from the parking lot.  It is perfect for a p-day. If some of the missionaries don't want to do the hike they can come and just sit by the first waterfall.  There is also a picnic area close to it.  There is cell service, so they can talk their families and visit with other missionaries.  Now we just need to reach our goal! We were at the 2nd waterfall and my foot slipped off a rock and I stepped in the water.  So I just started walking in the water with my shoes on.  I was in the water up to my knees and I fell down and was sitting in water up to my chest.  I was already pretty much all wet so I swam out to the waterfall.  The water felt amazing!

Elder Ortiz's shoe fell apart.  Thankfully it was right at the end of the hike.
